TP launched our Citizen of the Planet (or COTP) initiative in 2008, long before others joined the fight to save precious environmental resources and combat climate change. We’re just as committed today to education, carbon emission reduction and other actions to protect our planet.
For the 11th consecutive year, TP has achieved a full Enterprise-wide Social Responsibility Standard (SRS) certification from Verego, meeting the highest standards across Leadership, Ethics, People, Community, and Environment. This recognition reflects our dedication to creating a positive impact by prioritizing ethical practices, empowering workplaces, uplifting communities, and environmental sustainability.
TP has been honored with Frost & Sullivan Institute Enlighted Growth Leadership award for the fourth consecutive year in 2024, showcasing its dedication to sustainability, growth, and innovation. The institute recognizes companies that show a strong commitment to adopting emerging technologies and practices, creating opportunities for all, and maintaining consistent growth while promoting sustainable development.
The COTP program is our blueprint for environmentally friendly and responsible business management. Strict measures for our buildings and staff reduce our impact globally, but that’s not all. Many initiatives back our commitment to the planet. And we work closely with our partners and communities to answer the urgent call for environmental action.
We stepped up our own climate objectives by committing to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). This includes a greenhouse gas emissions target in accordance with the Paris Agreement signed by 196 parties at the UN Climate Change Conference in 2015.
The Science Based Targets Initiative has validated that the science-based greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets submitted by Teleperformance SE are in line with a 1.5°C trajectory.
TP was one of the first 100 signatories to join the @ClimatePledge — a drive to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 — a decade ahead of the Paris Agreement’s 2050 goal, by commiting to: report greenhouse gas emissions regularly; implement decarbonization strategies; and neutralize remaining carbon emissions with quantifiable, socially beneficial offsets.
We use digital technologies, including our Cloud Campus model, to help clients achieve their environmental sustainability goals. On average, a TP employee working from home generates significantly less GHG emissions per year compared to an on-site employee.
TP also encourages sustainable practices among its employees and suppliers to reduce the global carbon footprint. The support and enthusiasm of our people are essential to reach these environmental goals. Each year, TP employees participate into various environmental campaigns and awareness activities around the world such as the World Cleanup Day movement by cleaning up the waste on beaches, rivers, and streets in our communities.
As we focus on these key strategies globally, we comply with local environmental laws and regulations and track progress with a management system meeting ISO Standard 14001.
