Network Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure, analyze, and support the company's internal and external data communications systems which include the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
  • Provides subject matter expertise for IT Project and initiatives
  • Creates and uphold standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Responsible for network design, implement and delivery with the approval of the Architecture team
  • Provide support escalation in Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
  • Providing support and assisting other groups in problem resolution
  • Ensure appropriate capacity and performance planning for systems to maintain and accelerate global business growth
  • Utilize expert protocol analysis tools for troubleshooting
  • Responsible for participating in network audits and developing remediation solutions
  • Document network designs and solutions and develop and maintain network diagrams for the network solutions
  • Assist to establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices.
  • Participate on a 24 X 7 On Call Support rotation
  • Willing to work during US business hours
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any related course.
  • Minimum of 8+ years network engineering, delivery, implementation experience.
  • CCIE Certification is preferred but not a must. CCNP R&S, CCNP Security, CCDP or any similar level professional certification is required.
  • Advanced understanding and experience in VPN technologies and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • Advanced understanding and experience in QOS and Layer 2 protocols like STP, vPC
  • Advanced experience in handling a wide array of Cisco platforms like routers, switches, firewalls and WLAN controllers.
  • Preferably with experience on any SD-WAN platforms
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of service framework such as ITIL
  • Effective verbal, listening and documentation skills in the English language
  • Ability to work under pressure and has an excellent decision making skills.
